Guadalupe Hill is one of the best viewpoints in Bogotá, offering panoramic views of the city from the east—arguably even better than those from Monserrate. It stands at 3,260 meters (10,700 feet) above sea level.
Because the only practical way to reach Guadalupe Hill is by car, and you need a private driver to take you there and bring you back to the city, it receives far fewer tourists. This makes it a great place to enjoy the scenery, take photos, explore the main sights through Felipe’s telescope, and relax away from the noise of the city.
For something more adventurous, a pathway behind the statue of the Virgin Mary leads to Aguanoso Hill, Bogotá’s highest mountain. Aguanoso Hill reaches approximately 3,450 meters (11,320 feet) above sea level. The hike takes about one hour and thirty minutes each way.
It is recommended that you leave valuables at your hotel or in the driver’s car, as the trail can be quite isolated on weekdays. More people visit on weekends, and police officers are sometimes present along the route.

As we mentioned, the pathway is very quiet during the weekdays. One day, a tourist from Dallas joined the hiking tour and asked Felipe whether he could take off his clothes. Felipe didn’t mind and also undressed. After that experience, he established a clothing-optional hiking tour, strictly without any sexual connotation.
