Monserrate Hill and the old city
This is a plan Felipe recommends for foreigners who have a layover in Bogotá or don’t have much time to explore the city. It’s designed to help you experience some of the city’s highlights in a limited amount of time.
Note: We’ll be stopping at some places and just passing through others.
🕹️Monserrate Hill is one of the most important landmarks and viewpoints in Bogotá, at an altitude of 3,152 meters (10,341 feet). Felipe recommends hiking up to enjoy the full experience. The hike takes about one hour, and you can take the cable car or funicular back down. If you don’t feel fit enough for the hike, you can simply take the funicular up and the cable car down.
